Synopsis
This drama is the story of the members life savers of the coast guard. The drama is based on the special duties of the Korean Coast Guard officers (rescues, terrorism threats, and other special missions) and also their obstacle in life and love. The drama takes its name from the Poseidon Team, a special forces unit of the Marines. Using the strong bonds of humanity as a basis, and through the challenges faced by the protagonists and their spirit of self-sacrifice, the drama movingly shows the significance of life and the stories of how people overcome obstacles in life.
Kim Sun Woo, who spent his school days as a troublemaker, decides to make a change in his life and joins the sea special attack team, which is called Poseidon. Sun Woo works as a promising commando, but he unexpectedly becomes entangled in an unsavory incident after 2 years. He is demoted and is sent to a maritime police office in Gunsan city. Sun Woo’s passion cools down and he slowly loses his vision as a maritime policeman. Then one day, Jung Ryul, who has formed a new crime investigation section in Incheon city, visits Sun Woo and asks him to join the team.

I think the storyline of this series is really good, not the typical K-drama u always see, Sometimes i wonder why the rating is low, and it could be because there isn’t so much romance going on in this series as its more of a action/thriller/ suspense genre..but i love the chemistry btwn Choi Si Won and Lee Si Young! they make a good on screen couple! so yea, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! =)

the show is good for an action one. That is how it’s suppose to be with bad guys, good guys and investigation going bad. It’s how it is. the reason for low ratings I believe is, no one seems to like this type of show only when it is a movie. Maybe if we have more of this kind of show, people will intune to it instead of stuck in romantic type. I for one love this show. It’s exciting and so real…keep up the good work…..love all the way from the South Pacific Islands

POSEIDON i dont like this drama, KBS director dont know how to chose actress. In this drama LEE SI YOUNG acting was terrible, She totally not suite to act this type for drama. Too thin till the legs like chicken legs there are so many actress can be chose…. i give out when half way watching

the ending isn’t satisfying… its hanging… there must be a sequel for this one… and i hate to bring this out, but why isn’t U-know not shown on the last two episodes… he’s got one of the important roles in the story too, right…
in general, the story was great… but i agree with Aishakith, its too disappointing…

watching the movie poseidon from the youtube is really amazing.
the stunts and all the concepts were good..my sister even had the copy but downloaded the whole movie from the youtube.
choi si won your the best!
and to mr. Lee Sung Jae, you have the face of my late uncle. you have the same face that reminded me of him!

yuuh..this sucks…it got soooo low ratings…this does not deserve such…also with ATHENA, it should’ve gotten many attention…i wonder a lot why the hell ignore these shows???????????

the story may be good, quite different from other Korean dramas ..
but the execution is less “kicking” ..
lacking a little bit..
too slow, too many scenes that are less necessary ..

I’m not sure about about other opinions who are not so fond of this, but for me, I’ve watched till ep 8 so far and I”M ENJOYING EVERY BIT OF IT!
However since some said that the ending is not too good, I’m looking forward to it and to see what happens at the ends =p oh well, even if the ending is not too great, I can say that the storyline is quite different frm your typical K-drama, it’s all about investigations and finding who’s the spy/what’s the bad guy gonna do next etc etc etc keeps you in suspense I would say! =)

hmm..lots talking scenes, interrogation scenes, lots of thinking.. little action.. weak storylines.. rather boring this drama.. same interrogation scenes most of the time.. no wonder so under rated.. if not for Si Won and Si Young (both has good chemistry together).. i would not have watched at all.. now that I’ve read the terrible ending.. not sure if i want to continue.. sigh.. hope both of them will act in other romantic dramas.. all the actors are good but the weak storylines did not do much to their acting here..

I am almost done with this drama, just trying to finish it. From my point of view, this is the worse Korean drama I’ve watched. I get very annoyed watching the characters and plot played out in this drama. It seems like there’s no chemistry between any of the actors. The characters are all weak. In the beginning, they seems to be very strong and intelligent. But a long the way, they lost that.
I can’t understand the romance in this drama, seems like it just happened, no development other than them living in the same house. Arrrggg I am trying to finish it just because I don’t want to leave thing unfinished.
